| Admissions |
• Submit completed enrollment
application
• Submit a non refundable application fee of $200.00 (In
the event that you are not accepted it will be refunded to you.)
• Submit high school diploma, GED Certificate, High School
Equivalency Diploma or proof of graduation. Persons who are
at least 17 years of age may enroll • Submit copy
of birth certificate, copy of driver’s license, copy of social
security card. This will serve as proof that you are above the
compulsory age for attendance as required by the state.
• $10.00 money order payable to the Louisiana State Board
of Cosmetology • 3 passport size photographs
• Submit a $165.00 lab fee.
• Student information release form (where applicable) • Display suitable
for this profession based on a personal tour and/or interview
by an admissions representative or administrative personnel.
• Score a 3 or higher on personal interview based on appearance
, friendliness, personality, communication skills, attentiveness,
and motivation (on a scale of 1-5, one being poor, 5 being excellent).
• Score an 8.0 (8th grade level) or higher on a language
and reading comprehension test by completing an essay test with
3 questions, industry related, as to why you want to pursue
this career • Students scoring lower than a 3 or an 8.0
will require a second more in depth interview to determine eligibility.
• Applicants scoring below a 3 or an 8.0 or below
on second interview will not be eligible for enrollment notified
by mail. • Mark Anthony Institute does not recruit
students already attending or admitted to another school offering
a similar program of study. However, we realize transfer situations
do arise, we will accept transfer students under our transfer
student agreement.

| Ability
to Benefit |
Mark Anthony Institute currently at this time
does not accept students on an ability to benefit basis. We
currently only accept students who are beyond the compulsory
age of education (17 or older).

| Orientation
|
All students must attend orientation prior
to the start of classes. Depending on the specific starting
class needs, this orientation may be scheduled from one week
prior and up to the first day of class.
